Organising symposium on “Regulatory evolution and the emergence of diversity” at next SMBE

6 Jan 2023

Carmelo is organising – together with long-term collaborators and friends Paolo Franchini (University of Tuscia) and Francesca Raffini (Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn) – a symposium for the next meeting of the Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution.

The meeting will be held this year in Ferrara, a nice town in Italy, from July 23rd to July 27th. You can read more about the meeting on its official website, where you can also find the complete list of symposia which have been selected.

Our symposium’s title is “Regulatory evolution and the emergence of diversity” and focuses on topics such as gene regulation, short RNAs, and gene co-expression (the full description of the symposium will probably be available in the near future on the official website). Our invited speakers are Patricia Wittkopp (University of Michigan, USA) and Wilfried Haerty (Earlham Institute, UK).
