New lab member – Damiano Trovato
Damiano Trovato, a student in the MSc program in Environmental Biology at the University of Catania, has just joined the lab.
Damiano, during his first year as a student in the MSc program, has attended – and passed with full marks – the biometry course that Carmelo gives in that program. Damiano has also attended the course in Foundations of Geometric Morphometrics which Carmelo gives every year and which is organised by the German company Physalia Courses.
Now, he just joined the lab for an internship where he will learn more about acquiring geometric morphometric data. Usually, students which start a MSc internship in a lab also remain for their final MSc thesis. In that case, he will have the opportunity of applying the practical knowledge on data acquisition and handling he will have acquired to a scientific problem.
