Joanna leaves the lab
Joanna Mietlińska-Sauter from the University of Lodz (Poland) has recently completed her three-months visit to the lab (April-June).
During her visit she has improved her knowledge of geometric morphometric methods and carried out a 3D geometric morphometric study of variation in human vertebrae in archaeological samples (you can read more about her background and interests in the Lab Members page).
It is remarkable how much Joanna has accomplished during her three-month stay. Indeed, she joined the lab with a set of vertebrae scans she had acquired before the visit. During the visit, she acquired a set of landmarks and semilandmarks, performed several analyses with Carmelo’s help and guidance, and even wrote an almost complete first draft for her manuscript (and she submitted an abstract to present this work at a conference). This certainly attests to how hard-working Joanna is!
We look forward to completing the manuscript and submitting it!
